The MMA and Thai Jiu-jitsu programs are geared at the grappling art that teaches ground control utilizing such positions as the guard, the mount, side control and back control. Once in these positions, an opponent can submit him or her with a submission that usually utilizes a joint manipulation such as an arm bar, kimura, or key lock.

Our Kickboxing program teaches proper stance and striking from all angles including correct punching techniques (boxing skills), correct kicking techniques and other striking including knees and elbows. These techniques are continuously practiced with combinations on focus mitts, Thai pads, kick pads and heavy bags. In addition to developing and honing these skills, the sparring aspect of the classes will have supervised and controlled sparring that will develop speed, flexibility and athletic coordination.
Kickboxing is a sporting martial art very similar to boxing, except for the fact that it uses both arms and legs for striking. It can be practiced either as a full-contact combat sport or for general fitness. While the term refers to various forms of combat sports, it is generally associated with Japanese and American kickboxing. The term was introduced by Osamu Noguchi, a Japanese boxing promoter.
